This is just a quick post about the release of a new app from you tube which has been specifically created for kids (specifically the early years) . The app was officially launched on February 23rd, and is currently only available in the US app store, with further rollout expected soon.
You Tube for kids, contains inbuilt content which is child appropriate. There are a variety of parent controls including timers which allow you to limit the amount of time spent using the app. You tube can be blocked in some schools, or there is always the concern that students will stumble upon inappropriate content. This app could potentially be a way around this issue.
