I was reminded when I read the statement below that it is not the technology, its the learning and authentic purpose.
All that user wanted to do was take a picture of their kids and share it on Instagram. The sociological side — the sharing, the recording of memories, the social connection — that’s the important bit. When we text we don’t think OK so how am I going to use this phone, we text because we want to communicate with someone. When we use technology in the classroom we need to look beyond what can the tool do, to what to what is the purpose.
