As an extension to great tools I have been blogging about all week. I have found another one. Trading Cards. These are great for reading comprehension, character development and analysis, historical character analysis, settings in stories, real places,  really the possibilities are numerous.

http://www.readwritethink.org/classroom-resources/student-interactives/trading-card-creator-30056.html – This is a website where you are able to create your own trading cards. It is very similar to the app below but it is based on the web. It is also FREE.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/trading-cards/id555742821?mt=8 – This FREE app has a variety of templates and colous. It also has guiding questions for the children within each section. The app allows you to choose lots of different types of trading cards, settings, fictional characters, real places etc. I have created one on the Big Bad Wolf.

http://www.catawba.k12.nc.us/c_i_resources/trading_character.pdf – This PDF contains a printable template for trading cards.

The options for using these tools are endless

Has anyone else used this is their classrooms?
